The job offer relates to one of GLBA business line: Trade and Commodity Finance department in charge of financing of traders and commodity players/processors as well as trade finance to cover traders and commodity players against non-payment risk.
The main mission is to bring a support to the TCF Front Office and especially TRA activity. The candidate must in first time understand the traders’ flows and their type of operations together with the specifics of the transactional trade finance products and flows of commodity in order to help
This VIE in Geneva is to begin November 1st, 2026, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
Tasks
- Gather information from a variety of sources on potential counterparts (corporates and banks) and target countries (company accounts, market reports, Bloomberg, internet, etc.)
- Analyze in detail the corporate profile and FI profile (market, business, competition, organization, etc.) as well as historical audited accounts
- Assist in the preparation of credit approvals; prepare the financial analysis to support the evaluation of the deal structure.
- Under the supervision of TSC TRA Front Officer prepare and send price quotation to customers on certain transactions (as directed by TSC TRA Front Officer).
- Execute all KYC tasks related to TRA activity (launch AOF, answer the PCRU on the necessity or not to keep the KYC status active).
- Participate to the preparation of credit applications and spot approval requests to obtain approval to execute deals and /or lines (bank and corporate) renewal
- Gather information to assist in preparation of management reviews and reporting (NBI, Tomcat clean up, RWA checks, answer to PCRU requests)
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University
- Some market knowledge and experience in Investment banking/ financial services industry
Language skills:
- Fluent in English
Technical, operational & soft skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
