At HSBC, our purpose is to open up a world of opportunity, and by joining our team, you can be part of something bigger. We are committed to removing barriers and ensuring that careers at HSBC are inclusive and accessible.

As part of HSBC in Luxembourg, you’ll help evolve and grow our private banking business. Have you managed UHNW/Upper HNW client relationships in private or investment banking? Do you have a strong personal network in Scandinavia that you can leverage to win new clients? Do you have a proven track record in AUM growth and revenue generation?

If you answered yes to these questions, we want to hear from you!

Tasks

Reporting to the Head of Northern Europe Markets, you will establish and grow profitable, long-term relationships with HSBC’s priority clients across the Nordic region and Scandinavia. You are expected to bring your own established regional network and actively leverage it to attract new ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) and high-net-worth (HNW) clients to HSBC. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs and engage directly with key decision-makers, delivering innovative, high-value solutions across all product lines and driving sustainable growth and returns for clients and HSBC.

  • Maintain “Trusted Advisor” relationships with UHNW and Upper HNW prospects and clients, with access to key decision-makers and a proactive, regular outreach program.
  • Identify and execute opportunities across the full range of Global Private Bank products and services, partnering with colleagues to deliver the right Group solutions.
  • Coordinate with investment advisors, credit specialists, wealth planners, and product specialists to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Combine client relationship management with robust risk assessment and risk management, ensuring the required KYC standards are met.
  • Ensure that pricing aligns with the bank’s value proposition and is implemented correctly.
  • Identify liquidity events and financing opportunities, including collaboration with the client’s professional advisors.
  • Operate in full compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations, and procedures applicable to your business activities.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • Extensive experience in relationship management in private banking or investment banking, serving UHNW and Upper HNW clients.
  • A significant personal network across the Scandinavian countries, with proven experience in identifying and advising Scandinavian-based UHNW and Upper HNW clients and families.
  • A proven track record in asset acquisition, AUM growth, and revenue generation.
  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Strong focus on customer service, with highly developed communication skills.
  • Fluent English is required; other languages relevant to the markets served are an advantage. German and/or French are a plus.

Even if you feel you do not meet 100% of our qualifications, we encourage you to apply if you believe this role is right for you.
