Senior Compliance Officer, 100% (m|f|x) Zurich

Tasks

Would you like to apply your regulatory expertise in a challenging, international private banking environment and make a significant contribution to ensuring compliance with regulations? As part of our Regulatory and Investment Services Compliance department, you will advise the bank’s key stakeholders on Swiss and cross-border regulatory issues. In this role, you will assume a position of responsibility with a particular focus on the Lugano branch and work closely with specialized departments within the bank and the group.

• As a proven expert, you will oversee and implement regulatory projects in Swiss and European financial market law. In doing so, you will work closely with Legal, Project Management, the front office, and other functions within the bank and the Group.
• With your knowledge of Italian, you will be the primary point of contact for regulatory matters at the Lugano branch (excluding issues related to anti-money laundering).
• You will serve as a key point of contact for regulatory issues in Swiss and cross-border financial market law, particularly with regard to FIDLEG, MiFID, and CRD VI.
• In your day-to-day work, you will handle inquiries and clarifications regarding current (cross-border) regulatory (interpretative) issues and develop practical, risk-based solutions.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

• Bachelor’s degree in law; a Swiss attorney’s license is preferred.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in regulatory compliance in (private) banking.
• Fluency in Italian, German, and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with standard banking IT programs is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and with precision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with various stakeholders and management levels.
• Team-oriented personality with a commitment to tackling new challenges
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Switzerland, particularly to Lugano.
