Within the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) framework, the Senior Cash Management Sales professional contributes to the delivery of the global financial strategy by:
i) serving as the primary client point of contact for all Cash Management-related matters
ii) actively contributing to key initiatives such as the Account Bank Role, Payment Service Providers, and Non-Bank Financial Institutions
iii) Supporting new client development
iv) Contributing to the achievement of the client’s commercial objectives
v) Taking responsibility for outbound client penetration in his/her area of expertise in close alignment with local Sales
vi) Closely cooperating with other Sales products (Trade and Factoring) to jointly develop client strategy, revenue, and profitability in line with business rules and strategic initiatives
The Senior Cash Management Sales professional has expert knowledge of Payments & Cash Management (PCM) products. He/she has the ability to understand product-specific client needs and the related commercial and operational implications, based on several years of PCM sales experience. He/she can deliver a comprehensive business development strategy for his/her area of product expertise for each client, as well as acquire business from new clients. He/she aligns the product development strategy with the GTB Sales client strategy
. The Senior Cash Management Sales reports to the Head of PCM Austria.
Tasks
Commercial:
- Active interaction with the client regarding complex product-specific structures
- Interactions with the local product manager and central product team regarding client needs
- Share competitive intelligence on market trends
- Manages complex structures and oversees implementation projects, including contract negotiations
- Interacts with PCM colleagues in the network
- Develops client strategy to drive PCM business growth
- Ensures that action plans regarding "Golden Rules" and profitability are followed
- Keeps the GTB Senior Sales Manager informed on critical client topics
Operational:
- Serves as the escalation point for specific situations arising from the day-to-day processing of PCM transactions
- Serves as the escalation point for product service failures and interacts with MO/BO teams accordingly
- Ensures regular interaction with clients regarding service quality and collects related feedback
- Grows the PCM business with clients in his/her portfolio
- Ensures the credit process is initiated correctly and in a timely manner in coordination with GTB Sales
- Ensures compliance with the risk appetite framework within his/her scope, including the desk’s contribution to adherence to the GTPS risk appetite statement, notably country limits and sectoral limits
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
Education & experience:
- 10+ years of experience in GTB/PCM
- Knowledge of the Austrian payments and cash management market is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of credit processes, documentation, and risk management
Language skills:
- German: C2
- English: C1
- French is a plus
Technical, operational, and soft skills:
- Detailed knowledge of PCM processes and their implications, including risk
- Solution-oriented and flexible work style

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and influence business relationships at all levels
