About your team:
Fidelity is seeking to expand and grow its business by establishing and growing its ETF capabilities. You will be responsible for further increasing market share in Germany and Austria. You will work closely with our ETF Capital Markets, ETF Strategist, and ETF Product Management teams to deliver solutions that best serve our clients’ interests.
Location & Department Description:
Fidelity in Germany is responsible for client relationships with and sales to German clients. The German business is a strategic market for Fidelity and is well diversified. Our clients include the full range of B2B clients, from large institutional clients to banks, insurance companies, private banks, asset managers, and independent financial advisors, as well as corporations that support their employees and private clients who are served through a fund platform and a scalable portfolio investing solution.
At Fidelity’s Kronberg Office, there is a team of over 300 employees, distributed across the different business divisions supporting German clients. The combined German businesses manage client assets totaling approximately €46 billion in AUM.
About your role:
Fidelity is seeking to expand and grow its business by establishing and growing its ETF capabilities. The candidate will be responsible for managing the ETF business on the ground in Germany, Austria, and CEE.
As an integral member of the local sales teams, the Sales Specialist works in collaboration with the sales team to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of ETF sales plans and supports the sales teams in achieving their sales targets. The Sales Specialist will be responsible for direct client coverage across Fidelity’s various client segments.
The Sales Specialist plays a central role in developing our product positioning, market and competitor intelligence, as well as our marketing approach and distribution strategy.
The role involves preparing for, conducting, and following up on client inquiries, sales meetings, and tasks related to client events. It includes providing client service, as well as maintaining and keeping our global CRM system (Salesforce) up to date.
Furthermore, the candidate will serve as Fidelity’s primary representative for the ETF business in the region and will be responsible for driving and further developing this strategic positioning.
Tasks
- Drive net sales for Fidelity’s ETF product range in the region
- Provide support for distribution/wholesale/institutional clients: Responding to ETF client requests, preparing information and data, preparing meeting materials, fund buyer and fund seller sales collateral and pitch documents, RFPs, including data administration and compliance reviews
- Ongoing management and further development of our ETF strategy. Provide feedback on existing products and identify new product opportunities for the ETF Product team. In addition, provide local competitor and market intelligence to the central team.
- Manage and coordinate across Fidelity’s internal stakeholders and departments regarding the ETF business
- Drive and lead the expansion of Fidelity’s ETF offering, as well as further business expansion into new business segments
- Perform and lead annual sales planning with distribution heads
- Drive and support Fidelity’s distribution teams in establishing and coordinating new client partnerships
- Serve as the local point of contact for all oversight-related departments—such as compliance, regulatory, risk management, and audit—in partnership with the ETF Platform and Product team
- Ensure data consistency for internal sales reporting requirements, including preparing reports. Support client satisfaction surveys by selecting relevant clients, verifying participation, and liaising with sales to meet client service targets
- Participate in selected client events, e.g., assist with inviting clients, preparing presentations, and providing client support during the event
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- University education with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
- >5 years of professional experience in the asset management and financial services consulting industry
- In-depth knowledge of the asset management distribution landscape, client segments, and market trends
- Experience and understanding of the ETF business and a willingness to proactively expand expertise
- Proven ability to think strategically with strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach
- Proven experience leading highly complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
- Proven ability to build successful external and internal relationships and manage stakeholders up to the board level
- Experience in mobilizing, structuring, and generating momentum
- Ability to successfully navigate ambiguity and identify the issues that need to be addressed
- Organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluent in both German and English with outstanding communication skills
