For over 150 years, our commitment to being the global primary bank for our clients has been driven by our people—in approximately 60 countries and representing more than 150 nationalities. Their deep understanding, insights, expertise, and passion help our clients navigate an increasingly complex world—whether in our Corporate Bank, our Private Bank, our Investment Bank, or our Asset Management division. Together, we can make a significant impact on our clients’ lives both at home and abroad, ensuring their long-term success and financial security.

Deutsche Bank’s Wealth Management business is one of the largest wealth managers in the world. We offer our clients a broad range of traditional and alternative investment solutions, as well as comprehensive advice on all aspects of wealth management. As a trusted partner to high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs, family offices, and foundations, we create lasting value for our clients. We specialize in developing customized solutions for our clients around the world, such as wealth planning across generations and international borders, asset management with tailored risk management, and loans and deposits.

We aim to become a highly competitive global wealth manager by combining financial strength and stability with trustworthy partnerships and forward-thinking approaches to build sustainable and beneficial client relationships. As a growth business for Deutsche Bank, we contribute to building a more balanced, less capital-intensive, and stable business model for the bank.

As a Relationship Manager, you are the primary point of contact for clients seeking access to the full suite of wealth management capabilities and solutions offered by Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. This is achieved by working in close partnership with the Investment Manager (IM) in the day-to-day planning and servicing of the client. You are responsible for acquiring new clients—who align with the bank’s business proposition—and assets, as well as growing existing business relationships, ensuring a holistic and high-quality client experience.

As a Relationship Manager, you are part of a highly dynamic team and play a key role in executing our growth strategy targeting Swiss (U)HNW clients (onshore), entrepreneurs, single- and multi-family offices, and institutional investors.

Tasks

  • Identify, develop, acquire, and maintain relationships with HNW/UHNWIs, entrepreneurs, single- and multi-family offices, and institutional investors
  • Increase share of wallet and assets under management by implementing a business development, sales, or relationship management approach, as appropriate
  • Responsible for the overall generation of net new assets and revenue on the respective books in a scalable and efficient manner
  • Balance client relationships, prospect development, investment growth, administrative compliance, and personal growth and development on a day-to-day and long-term basis
  • Plan and manage resources (time, budget) to run the business optimally
  • Work closely with other coverage, product, and support functions to deliver DB’s value proposition, leveraging other DB divisions where possible, namely Corporate Business, Investment Banking, and Asset Management (DWS)
  • Recommend investment products, credit solutions, and services that are suitable for clients based on their objectives, resources, time horizon, risk profile, and preferences
  • Review client portfolios periodically to ensure that portfolio performance aligns with clients’ investment objectives and risk profiles
  • Partner with Investment Managers (IMs) in serving clients to discuss and manage financial goals and risk tolerance; research and analyze market conditions; provide the bank’s views on various investment types; recommend asset allocation; and explain how these factors may support or hinder investment objectives
  • Serve as the Accountable Client Owner, responsible for all AML aspects of the client relationship, including KYC and account activity
  • Establish and maintain relationships with management teams and inform management of any circumstances requiring supervisory attention, review, or approval in accordance with compliance guidelines and policies
  • Actively support the business and growth strategy, plans, and values, as well as new products and services, contributing to the success of a high-performing team
  • Participate in relevant client social events as well as in PR and other marketing activities
  • Timely follow-up and completion of various Key Risk Indicators highlighted locally and by the Booking Center—periodic KYC reviews, document deficiencies, cross-border travel/meeting call reports, portfolio reviews, etc.
  • Be aware of local compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Document quality notes in a Call Report after prospect/client calls or meetings, summarizing discussions and additional actions required, including follow-up calls
  • Build and maintain existing client relationships. Take ownership of the relationship process (from initiation to closure)

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • A master’s degree with a background in finance is preferred
  • Certified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) is desirable
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial services as a Client Relationship Manager
  • Fluency in English is a prerequisite; knowledge of an additional C&EE language (especially Polish) is a significant asset
  • Substantial financial services experience as a Client Relationship Manager, preferably in the HNW/UHNWI segment
  • Sound understanding of the Swiss private banking market as well as current business trends in the C&EE region (especially Poland)
  • A strong and genuine interest in financial markets
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Client-focused, solution-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
