Operations Officer - Alternative investments (m|f|x) Geneva

Pictet Alternative Advisors is a leading alternative investment specialist with expertise in hedge funds, private equity, and global real estate. The Geneva- and London-based team constructs, manages, and advises on portfolios of alternative investment solutions for institutional and private clients.

The Group has strong growth ambitions for Pictet Alternative Advisors in the coming years, notably to expand its product offering to include additional asset classes and to further develop its institutional client base. In light of these developments, Pictet Alternative Advisors is seeking to hire an Operations Officer to steer its growth.

Based in Geneva, you will join a dynamic team at the heart of supporting a high level of activity and growth across our alternative investments platform. You will provide operational support across a diverse range of investment strategies, as well as managed accounts.

Tasks

• Managing and coordinating operations related to the investment teams (Products and mandates)
• Providing support to the investment teams, management, and internal clients.
• Monitoring NAV calculations, FX hedging, reporting, transactions, and client services.
• Coordinating with all service providers (legal, tax, compliance, administrators, back-office, etc.).
• Monitoring risks and investment constraints.
• Working on various one-time and recurring projects (e.g., TER calculations).
• Optimizing and automating processes (IT development).

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

• At least five years of experience in a similar role in a fund department or with an asset manager.
• Proven practical knowledge of alternative products (hedge funds, private equity, real estate) operations management.
• Rigorous, with excellent numeracy skills and a keen attention to detail.
• A proven ability to address issues and topics with specialists from various business areas (investment managers, tax, compliance, etc.), with excellent verbal and written communication skills in these specific situations.
• Advanced user of Excel and generally comfortable with new IT systems. Ideally with an interest in or experience with AI.
• Confident in expressing yourself in both French and English, with the relevant written proficiency to draft documentation and discuss complex matters with both internal and external parties, whether they are native speakers or not.
• Must be a resident of Switzerland or willing to relocate.
