UBS Europe SE, based in Frankfurt am Main, was created in 2016 by merging several European wealth management subsidiaries of UBS Group into a single pan-European entity, which is now one of the leading financial services providers for wealth management in Europe. The bank is a direct, wholly owned subsidiary of UBS AG, Zurich. Its organizational structure includes the following business divisions: Global Wealth Management (GWM) and Investment Bank (IB), as well as Group Functions (GF). UBS Europe SE comprises eleven branches—in Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, France, Portugal, and Ireland—with 26 locations across Europe, as well as six offices in Germany, including UBS Europe SE’s headquarters in Frankfurt am Main.
Tasks
Are you a risk-averse professional? Are you interested in understanding and helping to manage non-financial risk at an EU financial institution? If so, you should know that UBS CORC GWM is hiring an Operational Risk Control Specialist for the Operational Risk Control (ORC) GWM Function at UBS Europe SE in France.
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
We are looking for an Operational Risk Control Specialist with at least 3–5 years of demonstrable experience in operational risk management/control in the banking/financial sector, preferably in wealth management, with good to excellent analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills, as well as a solid understanding of MS Office tools. The candidate must have a critical yet constructive mindset. Additional experience or knowledge in current operational risks—such as cyber and information security, data management, environmental and social risks, or climate risks—would be beneficial.
You’re curious to explore how AI can improve the way we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment—validating outputs and ensuring alignment with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
