OeKB CSD is the only authorized central securities depository (CSD) for securities in Austria. Its services are aimed at issuers and financial institutions for whom OeKB CSD holds and manages securities. It thus plays a vital and central role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the domestic capital market.

The Executive Board consists of two members who jointly lead a company that currently employs approximately 40 highly motivated staff members. While various services are outsourced to OeKB, the core competencies and strategically essential tasks are carried out directly within OeKB CSD.

As part of a planned succession, we are seeking an entrepreneurial, assertive, and personally compelling leader. In this role, you will work alongside your fellow executive to take responsibility for the company’s strategic development, its successful positioning in the market, and the long-term maintenance of high service and quality standards. You combine strategic vision with the ability to execute, promote innovation, and know how to rally employees, stakeholders, and partners alike toward shared goals.

Tasks

As a member of the Executive Board, responsible for the overall management of OeKB CSD
Strategic and operational management within the banking sector and the institution’s specific legal and regulatory framework
Implementation and monitoring of efficient structures and processes
External representation and stakeholder management
Leadership and professional development of employees

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

A college degree or in-depth knowledge of business administration or law
Several years of relevant professional experience in the banking sector, preferably in the capital markets division (specifically back office, capital markets infrastructure, and custody)
Of which at least three years in a managerial role
Comprehensive knowledge of and connections within the Austrian capital markets
Knowledge of regulatory, supervisory, and institution-specific legal matters, including CSDR, DORA, BWG, corporate law, FM-GWG, FMA regulations, and supervisory law (Fit & Proper)
Strategic thinking, a methodical approach to work, and a strong focus on processes
A dedicated individual with strong professional and interpersonal skills as well as high resilience
Leadership qualities with an appreciative management style
Business-fluent in spoken and written English

Compensation: The annual gross salary (all-in) for this full-time position starts at €170,000. Depending on experience, qualifications, and education, we may offer a higher salary.
