What it's about

We are seeking a high-performing intern to join our Liquid Credit Team in London for a 6–12 month internship commencing in April, with the opportunity for conversion to a full-time role based on performance.

This is a front-office investment role within one of the world’s leading private markets firms, offering direct exposure to senior investors and live credit transactions across European Term Loan B and High Yield markets.

The Role

As an intern, you will work directly with senior credit analysts and portfolio managers across the full investment lifecycle. You will gain hands-on exposure to underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and investment committee processes.

Tasks

  • Support the underwriting of new investments in Term Loan Bs and High Yield bonds, primarily sponsor-backed businesses
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess leverage, cash flow generation, and downside protection
  • Contribute to investment committee materials, including financial analysis and risk assessment
  • Monitor existing portfolio companies, including quarterly results analysis
  • Involvement in investment committee meetings, including minute taking
  • Assist with ad hoc analytical projects across the portfolio

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • Recent graduate from a top-tier university
  • Strong academic track record
  • Prior internship experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, corporate finance, restructuring, or credit investing preferred
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams under time pressure
  • Self-starter with strong ownership mentality
