Here in Düsseldorf or Frankfurt, as a (Junior) Institutional Sales Representative (m/f/d), you’ll help further develop and expand the business of HSBC Global Asset Management (Germany) GmbH.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Continental Europe S.A., Germany, HSBC Global Asset Management (Deutschland) GmbH focuses on international asset management for institutional investors, corporate clients, public entities, and financial intermediaries. Together with the investment specialists* within the HSBC network, we develop and market customized investment and fund strategies for our clients in German-speaking countries and Eastern Europe.
Tasks
- (Junior) Institutional Sales role for the Germany and Austria sales territory
- Sales of a broad range of asset management solutions across liquid and illiquid asset classes, including
- actively managed equity, fixed-income, and multi-asset solutions
- single funds and fund-of-funds solutions in alternative investments
- Collaboration with sales specialists for passive asset management solutions/ETFs and liquidity funds in Düsseldorf/Frankfurt
- Independently managing relationships with small and medium-sized institutional investors
- Co-coverage of key accounts with senior institutional sales colleagues or the management team at HSBC Asset Management Germany
- Developing additional business with existing clients and acquiring new institutional clients
- Representing the firm at conferences, events, and our own events for institutional clients
- Collaborating with product teams and specialists at HSBC Asset Management across our global locations, particularly in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, London, Paris, New York, Singapore, and Hong Kong
- Close collaboration with the Relationship Management team of HSBC Bank’s Corporate & Institutional Banking division in Germany
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- High level of initiative, as well as a reliable and conscientious work ethic
- A successfully completed college or university degree in economics
- Professional experience in asset management, ideally in institutional sales
- Knowledge of liquid and illiquid (alternative investments) asset classes
- A strong passion for selling sophisticated asset management products and customized investment solutions
- High motivation to work across departments and functions in globally active teams
- Strong communication skills with both external and internal contacts, combined with excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and spoken English skills

That awaits you
The salary range for this position is €68,400 – €102,500.
The final compensation structure depends on your qualifications and the resulting contractual pay grade:
- Collective bargaining classification: Compensation is based on the collective bargaining agreement for the private banking sector (Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Private Banking Sector).
- Non-Collective Bargaining Agreement Classification: For roles outside the collective bargaining agreement structure, HSBC offers various variable compensation models to reflect the diversity of our business units, roles, and markets. Variable compensation is designed to reward colleagues for their individual performance and contributions, as well as for the performance of their respective business/infrastructure unit and the entire HSBC Group.
