As a Junior Group Financial Planner, you will be part of a dynamic team driving financial forecasting and planning processes for the Julius Baer Group. This is a key role for the overall management of the Group and for supporting the achievement of its objectives. You will serve as a central center of expertise for planning-related topics and Group-level analytics and will have the opportunity to actively contribute to Group-wide strategic financial initiatives. The role requires strong operational involvement in day-to-day business as well as a strategic mindset to succeed in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment. The role is part of the Group Budgeting & Planning team within the Finance organization and offers significant exposure to both senior management and business stakeholders. You will join a team of highly committed, experienced professionals who foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Tasks

  • Support and drive the mandate of the Group Budgeting & Planning team, which is responsible for all group-wide financial planning, forecasting, and scenario development activities
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and select in-depth analyses to explain and forecast financial performance at the JB Group and Region/Business Unit levels
  • Advance integrated financial planning capabilities and methodologies across Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Capital dimensions to ensure process efficiency and forecast accuracy, using appropriate tools and a high level of automation
  • Prepare presentations for senior management with clear and concise messaging and a focus on providing the broader picture
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders across Group functions, Regions, and Business Units to coordinate forecasting and planning processes from an end-to-end perspective
  • Maintain documentation of key processes and models

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • Strong academic record: University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or equivalent, preferably at the master’s level
  • Post-graduate qualifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, CIIA) are a plus
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in (investment) banking, valuation, consulting (Top 3 / Big 4), or corporate strategic/financial planning roles, ideally with a focus on the financial services industry
  • Understanding of integrated financial modeling across the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Capital dimensions of financial services companies
  • Deep understanding of financial processes
  • Strategic mindset and strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency at the operational level. Experience with SAP and the planning application “Board” is a plus
  • Hands-on, solution- and growth-oriented mindset, willing to go the extra mile
  • Business-fluent in English; German is considered an asset
