Pictet Wealth Management combines more than 200 years of Swiss banking heritage with global investment expertise. The partner-owned financial services group offers a comprehensive range of services for high-net-worth individuals and families, including discretionary and advisory investment solutions and family office services.

You will build “investment partnerships” with CRMs and fellow ISs to provide clients with a unique investment experience tailored to their needs and geographic circumstances. You will also support CRMs in their business development efforts by identifying and presenting the most suitable investment solutions available and activating non-managed accounts.

Tasks

  • Communicating the investment platform’s strategy and solutions to CRMs, clients, and prospects.
  • Helping determine clients’ needs, identifying and developing new opportunities in partnership with CRMs, preparing investment and advisory proposals and portfolio reviews, and helping convert prospects into clients.
  • Developing, offering, and servicing discretionary mandates and seeking to centralize their management.
  • Overseeing advisory mandates, seeking to streamline positions and exposure, and ensuring they remain consistent with the bank’s overall investment strategy and policy.
  • Supporting the team leader in various investment-related tasks.

This will entail:

  • A thorough understanding of Pictet’s offerings, policies, and guidelines, as well as attending relevant investment forums and presentations.
  • The ability to present and defend the investment philosophy and the mandate/product offering.
  • Regular reviews of portfolios to monitor adherence to risk controls, compliance, and client constraints.
  • Executing and managing trade orders.
  • Investing cash positions and managing, executing, and reviewing client transactions.
  • A thorough understanding of and ability to attribute the performance of one’s own advisory and managed portfolios.
  • Knowledge of all available marketing documents and key resources within the Group.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • A bachelor’s degree and a postgraduate degree such as a master’s, MBA, CIIA, or CFA would be an advantage.
  • At least ten years of investment advisory or management experience; client-facing experience is required.
  • Ideally, experience across multiple asset classes—with a focus on mutual funds, equities, derivatives, and structured products—as well as knowledge of alternative investments would be an additional asset.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required. French language skills are considered a plus in addition to the required languages.
  • Excellent technical knowledge across asset classes, investment vehicles, and the mandate/product offering.
  • Excellent understanding of portfolio construction, investment processes, and risk management approaches.
  • Proficient in IT, including knowledge of relevant software packages, online information systems, front-end management, and order-placing systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Bloomberg, Avaloq, Profolio, etc.).
  • Strong client-focused attitude and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
  • Cross-asset-class experience with solid knowledge of fixed income (EM and DM), derivatives, equities, and structured products.
  • Solid understanding and experience in private equity and other alternative investments.
  • Experience and understanding of thematic equities would be a strong advantage.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
