The successful individual will support the Designated Person (DP) for Operational Risk Management/Head of Risk in carrying out effective risk oversight of all funds managed by MSIM FMIL.

Tasks

• Secondary point of contact regarding operational risk matters including incident management
• Production of regular and ad hoc operational risk reporting including board level materials
• Assist in managing risk identification for the entity inclusive of risks captured through the Non-Financial Risk Assessment (NFRA)
• Manage elements of other risk programs as required
• Support the DP in managing the risk framework through oversight of risk policies and procedures
• Assist in assessment of outsourced service providers and evidencing of oversight
• Support strategic and tactical initiatives to improve the risk function’s capabilities
• Perform other activities as delegated by the Designated Person.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

• Experience in a risk discipline in a buy side firm or management consulting firm.
• Educated to a third-level degree standard or equivalent.
• Have a strong knowledge of operational risk management across the various risk types
• Highly detail-oriented self-starter and team player, with the ability to maintain accuracy and effectiveness while working in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills - ability to appropriately engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Good technical skills including Excel and other end user computing tools.
• Knowledge of both public and private markets (preferable).
• Some experience of board engagement (preferable).
• MBA, CFA, or FRM is considered a plus but not required.
