Internship M&A (m|f|x) Zurich

The M&A team, reporting to the Head of M&A within the CFO area, is responsible for group-wide M&A activities and investment management. As part of our team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of SIX by contributing to strategic M&A projects and supporting the management of our investments. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment and make a tangible impact on the company’s growth.

This is a 6-month internship, starting in January 2027 (or early February 2027 at the latest).

Tasks

• Assisting the SIX M&A team with ongoing transactions and strategic M&A initiatives
• Support on financial models and company valuations, and conducting strategic analyses
• Conducting research on market trends, industry developments, and potential target companies
• Assisting with the management of complex M&A projects by ensuring seamless coordination among stakeholders
• Prepare high-quality presentations and materials for internal decision-making bodies

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

• A university degree in economics, finance, or management (a background in technical or industrial engineering with a strong interest in finance is also welcome)
• Ideally, prior experience in M&A / investment banking or strategy consulting
• Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Solid planning and organizational skills, combined with analytical and conceptual thinking
• Fluency in English is a must; German and/or Spanish is a plus
