Internship Infrastructure Private Equity Investments - Core / Core+ (6 months, start August 2026) (m|f|x) Zurich

The infrastructure investment team at Swiss Life Asset Managers serves as investment advisor to 15 infrastructure funds, with total infrastructure assets under management exceeding EUR 12 billion. Since its inception in 2011, the team has successfully executed over 75 direct infrastructure investments. The mandate focuses on private equity investments in infrastructure assets in Europe and North America within the upper mid-cap to lower large-cap market segments. The infrastructure investment team is a young and growing unit comprising professionals from diverse backgrounds, including private equity, M&A, strategy consulting, and engineering. The entire dedicated infrastructure private equity team at Swiss Life Asset Managers consists of more than 65 professionals and is based in the heart of Switzerland’s financial capital, Zurich. For the next cycle, we are seeking an Intern (f/m/d) available to join the Core / Core+ Infrastructure Investment Team in August 2026.

Tasks

• Supporting the investments team in the analysis, valuation, and due diligence of infrastructure private equity investment opportunities in Europe and North America
• Assisting investment managers in drafting investment memos and presentations, and attending executive investment committee meetings
• Conducting desktop research on various infrastructure markets, relevant sub-sectors, and related areas
• Supporting investment managers in managing the portfolio of companies, including tracking financial performance, valuation, and strategic goals

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

• Recent graduate or currently pursuing a degree in finance, economics, or business administration (preferably a master’s degree), or have relevant experience in finance (M&A, infrastructure funds) and/or the renewable energy sector
• Strong knowledge of finance and corporate finance
• Strong interest in infrastructure private equity
• Experience and skills in financial modeling are a plus
• Ability to absorb and synthesize large amounts of information
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Fluent English is required; fluency in German, a Nordic language, or French is an asset (but not required)
