Do you want to help shape the financial management of one of Europe’s leading exchange businesses? As Head of Controlling Exchanges at SIX/BME, you will serve as a trusted finance partner to the Head and Management Team of the Exchanges Business Unit. You will act as a business partner, providing transparency on financial performance, translating complex data into actionable insights, and supporting sound decision-making across our exchanges in Switzerland and Spain. By combining analytical and financial skills with curiosity and a sense of ownership that drives impact, you will contribute to the continued transformation of financial markets.
Tasks
- Act as a trusted finance and business partner to the Head of Exchanges and his leadership team, supporting and challenging strategic and operational decisions
- Lead key controlling processes, including closing, forecasting, budgeting, and mid-term planning, ensuring high-quality insights, transparency, and timely delivery
- Prepare, review, and present monthly financial dashboards, variance analyses, and ad hoc in-depth analyses for senior and executive management
- Drive performance management by identifying risks and opportunities, challenging assumptions, and translating financial transparency into actionable insights and clear recommendations
- Continuously improve controlling processes, reporting tools, and data foundations, contributing to the ongoing success of the Exchanges business
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, controlling, or a comparable qualification
- At least 4–6 years of experience in financial management or controlling, ideally gained at an international company or through international exposure
- Solid expertise in planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial commentary, with a strong ability to translate figures into business-relevant insights
- Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to build trust, provide constructive feedback, and influence senior stakeholders in a dynamic environment
- Good understanding of the financial industry; knowledge of exchange business models or market infrastructure is a strong advantage
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, with the ability to engage effectively with top and executive management; German and Spanish are a plus
- Experience with SAP BI reporting tools such as Analysis for Office and SAP Analytics Cloud is an advantage
