Multi Asset Solutions (MAS) is a multi-asset-class investment group within the Asset Management Division at Goldman Sachs. It designs and develops comprehensive investment management solutions tailored to meet clients’ investment objectives and relevant constraints. These solutions integrate state-of-the-art techniques for multi-asset and liability-hedging portfolio design and implementation and incorporate proprietary research and analytics conducted by the MAS team. With investment professionals around the world, MAS invests in or advises on assets for some of the world’s leading corporations, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and family offices.
The OCIO Insurance team is a global team that provides investment solutions and OCIO services for insurance companies. The team collaborates closely with portfolio managers, research, engineering, and reporting teams, as well as sales and client relationship professionals across multi-asset and the broader GS organization.
We are seeking an associate to join the LPM team in The Hague. This role is ideal for someone looking to continue developing their analytical and client-facing skills in delivering investment solutions to insurance companies. At the intersection of investment strategy, regulatory capital management, and business development, you will work directly with senior LPMs and clients to drive investment results. You will ensure that investment portfolios are optimized for both risk-adjusted returns and capital efficiency while identifying new investment opportunities.
Tasks
- Asset-Liability Analysis: Perform "whole-of-balance-sheet" analytics to match investment assets with insurance liability streams (Life, P&C, and Health).
- SAA & Portfolio Construction: Develop and implement customized strategic asset allocation frameworks that account for insurance-specific constraints, including Solvency II considerations, return-on-capital requirements, and risk parameters.
- Client Engagement: Contribute to providing best-in-class client service by delivering, among other things, presentation materials, analytics, market insights, and investment reports, as well as participating in client meetings.
- Thought Leadership & Content: Collaborate with internal research and other teams to produce high-impact investment content, including quarterly commentaries and market-driven thought leadership research.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to help develop responses to commercial opportunities, including RFIs, RFPs, and site visits.

Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in multi-asset investing, investment strategy, or actuarial consulting. Proven experience in a client-facing or commercially oriented role within the insurance market is highly preferred.
- Analytical Skills: A thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II and fixed-income, alternative, private, illiquid, and equity markets, including liability-hedging strategies.
- Commercial Mindset: Ability to identify business opportunities and turn them into new business.
- Education: Master’s degree in a quantitative, economic, or actuarial field.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch is a significant advantage given the local client base.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in the MS Office Suite. Familiarity with industry data sources and the ability to adapt to new software are essential.
