At Goldman Sachs, we believe progress is everyone’s business. That’s why we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow. Founded in 1869, Goldman Sachs is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm. Headquartered in New York, we maintain offices in all major financial centers around the world.

Tasks

The Alternative Equity Products team sits in the Equity Capital Markets team within the EMEA CSG team and broadly encompasses the following 3 verticals:

  • Equity Private Placements: minority stakes in unlisted / private companies, often with a runway to IPO. Equity or convertible prefs. Mix of strategic and financial investors in most cases
  • Equity-Linked Financing: the team helps clients issue bonds potentially convertible into shares, with investors having exposure to both debt and equity performance. These shares can be either the issuer’s shares (convertible) or others’ shares (exchangeable); the counterparty for these products are public investors.
  • Private Investments in Public Entities (PIPEs): committed equity capital placed to small group of private investors

The team’s clients are mainly corporates / institutions that are looking to raise financing as part of their organic/inorganic growth trajectory. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of the business across pitching, pricing, liaison and interface with internal committees, and marketing with sales and investors.  Given the small size of the team, there is the opportunity to lead many of the workstreams as well as gain experience in a broad range of areas.
