This role is part of the regional management team in the Executive Office based in Hong Kong. In this role, you will gain exposure to the full scope of GS across multiple business lines and across the firm’s various Control, Finance, and Operations divisions in the region.
Tasks
A high-impact, strategic role driving regional strategic initiatives, managing governance frameworks, and executive communications across the region. This role requires a highly organized, analytical, and politically savvy professional who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed corporate environment.
- Strategic Execution: Execute the region’s business and operational strategy in partnership with business units and control functions, collaborating across regional business units and global functional teams to drive alignment.
- Event Management: Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile internal executive events, leadership on-site meetings, town halls, and senior management forums, including managing complex logistics, aligning event agendas with regional strategic priorities, and coordinating internal stakeholder participation.
- Leadership Communications: Drive regional leadership communications by structuring meeting agendas and developing executive-ready materials, including briefing materials, presentation decks, and speaking notes. Partner with key stakeholders to ensure critical strategic messages are delivered consistently and effectively across the organization.
- Financial Planning: Manage the regional operational budget, track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and coordinate with finance and department heads to ensure optimal allocation of resources and headcount.
- Governance and Management Reporting: Support the regional governance framework—including regional cross-divisional forums—while consolidating inputs to generate management reports for regional and global leadership.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a seamless, timely flow of information and the swift escalation of critical issues.
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with 2–5 years of work experience in a fast-paced, demanding business environment. Previous work experience in the financial services industry would be a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills, organized, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; self-motivated and deadline-driven. Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
