Join us as a Europe Issuing Sales Analyst within Global Transaction Banking, where you will support a team of five Card Issuing Sales colleagues across Europe in the origination, development, and management of client opportunities in card issuing and, over time, broader cash management. Working in close partnership with Sales, Coverage, Product, Servicing, Operations, Pricing, and Finance, you will provide analytical, commercial, and operational support to help advance client discussions, maintain sales discipline, and contribute to the achievement of revenue targets.

This role will be based in Amsterdam and will support sales activities across core European markets. You will play a key role in ensuring that client and product follow-ups are managed effectively, that pricing and rebate reviews are conducted with the appropriate rigor, and that the Sales team is equipped with relevant market, industry, and payment scheme insights to support high-quality client engagement. You will be a key member of the European Card Issuing Sales team, bringing strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and disciplined execution. This is an opportunity to build expertise in payments, card schemes, cash management, and client-led solutions while supporting the growth of a strategic European issuing business.

Purpose of the role
: To generate revenue and promote the bank’s diverse product and service offerings to various customer segments.

Tasks

Sales Team & Client Support

  • Supporting five sales colleagues with client preparation, follow-up actions, pipeline tracking, and internal coordination.
  • Coordinating client and product follow-ups, ensuring that actions are documented, responsibilities are clearly assigned, and progress is tracked in a timely manner.
  • Preparing client materials, meeting packs, opportunity summaries, and internal updates to support effective sales engagement.
  • Staying informed about client needs, sales priorities, and product developments to help the team advance opportunities efficiently.

Sales and Commercial Strategy

  • Supporting sales forecasting, account planning, pipeline management, and revenue tracking across the supported portfolio.
  • Conducting pricing analysis, commercial modeling, rebate reviews, and profitability assessments in alignment with sales and product objectives.
  • Monitoring KPIs, client performance, and commercial trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for further sales focus.
  • Providing data-driven insights to support prioritization, improve sales execution, and inform commercial decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Working closely with Sales, Coverage, Product, Operations, Finance, Legal, and
  • Compliance colleagues to help resolve client and product inquiries.
  • Partnering with Visa and Mastercard to support the development of sales materials,
  • scheme insights, market updates, and client-facing content.
  • Coordinating internal inputs for client proposals, pricing discussions, product updates, and
  • strategic account reviews.

Market Insight

  • Conducting market and industry analysis across payments, card issuing, fintech, cash
  • management, and working capital trends.
  • Tracking competitor activity, regulatory developments, payment network initiatives, and client trends
  • relevant to the sales strategy.
  • Translating market insights into concise briefing notes, sales enablement content, and
  • providing practical recommendations for the sales team.
  • Identifying potential customers, analyzing their needs and preferences, and staying up to date on emerging market trends and competitor strategies.
  • Creating detailed profiles for target customer segments, outlining their demographics, financial habits, and pain points to tailor sales approaches and product recommendations.
  • Managing relationships with potential and existing customers by providing high-quality customer support—responding to inquiries, resolving issues, building customer trust, and understanding their financial goals and challenges.
  • Understanding the features, benefits, risks, and compliance requirements of various banking products and services offered. Understanding the key features, benefits, risks, enhancements, and regulatory requirements of new and existing banking products, and clearly communicating these insights to potential customers to address their financial needs.
  • Developing compelling sales pitches and proposals that highlight the value proposition of the bank’s offerings to convert leads into customers, and negotiating terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback on various products, services, and the overall experience to support the development of reports that communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders, thereby informing product development and sales strategies.
  • Monitoring of lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and other relevant metrics to assess sales performance and identify areas for improvement.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

To be successful as a GTB Europe Issuing Sales Analyst, you will need:

  • Experience in sales support, commercial analysis, product management, transaction banking, payments, or card issuing.
  • Knowledge of card issuing and cash management, including commercial cards, working capital solutions, payment flows, and card scheme dynamics.
  • The ability to analyze client, revenue, pricing, rebate, and market data to generate commercial insights and support decision-making.
  • Experience creating high-quality sales materials, presentations, briefing notes, and commercial summaries for internal and client-facing audiences.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM platforms, and AI-enabled tools to support data-driven decision-making and commercial activities.
  • A structured, proactive, and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

This role is classified as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or meet the minimum qualifications to satisfy internal company standards.

Minimum Salary: €65,000

The minimum salary information above includes only the annual full-time equivalent base salary and typically represents the lowest pay level for this role. The actual pay rate will reflect the level of responsibility associated with the role and the individual’s level of experience. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
