We are seeking an experienced ETF Sales Specialist to drive distribution efforts across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH region). The successful candidate will leverage a deep understanding of ETF products and relationships across key client channels to expand Schroders’ market presence within the DACH region. This role requires a proactive, strategic professional, based in Germany, with a proven track record in ETF distribution and strong language capabilities in both German and English.
Tasks
- Serve as Schroders’ subject matter expert in ETFs for the DACH region, demonstrating thorough knowledge of active and passive ETF strategies, product positioning, performance, and relevant market trends.
- Develop, manage, and deepen relationships across institutions, intermediaries, wealth managers, digital platforms, and private banks within DACH markets.
- Identify new business opportunities and execute sales strategies to increase ETF market share in the region, with a strong focus on asset gathering and revenue growth.
- Leverage an existing network to introduce Schroders’ ETF offerings to new prospects, whilst strengthening engagement with established clients.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider Schroders Client Group and internal stakeholders to optimise coverage, client service and product development feedback.
- Analyse and monitor regional market trends, client needs, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform business development strategies.
- Represent Schroders at client meetings, industry conferences, seminars, and events to enhance our brand, credibility, and thought leadership in the ETF market.
- Deliver high quality product training and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with compliance and risk teams to ensure all activities conform to regulatory standards.
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in distribution or sales of ETF products within the DACH region.
- Fluency in German and English (verbal and written) is essential.
- Demonstrable track record of success in growing ETF assets and nurturing relationships within wholesale, institutional, and intermediary channels, ideally across the DACH markets.
- Established network among key buyers/influencers in the DACH ETF ecosystem (e.g., private banks, asset managers, wealth managers, digital platforms).
- In-depth understanding of ETF investment strategies, portfolio construction, active and passive products, derivative or structured products, and quantitative processes, as well as product positioning and relevant industry regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Evidence of a strategic, consultative, and client-oriented approach.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret market intelligence, data, and research to identify opportunities.

- Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organisation is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field; relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are preferred.
