The candidate will support daily, monthly, and annual controlling and reporting activities within the Finance team of Jefferies GmbH (JEG). The role will involve close collaboration with Finance teams in both London and Germany to support corporate control activities and ensure consistently high standards.

Tasks

  • Assist with the preparation of JEG financial statements (proficiency in German is essential to support local reporting)
  • Support audits of JEG and its branches
  • Act as Legal Entity Controller for designated branches
  • Monitor outsourcing agreements and ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Support quarterly profit verification processes for JEG
  • Review, assess, and post various expense accruals
  • Review and understand transfer pricing arrangements for JEG and its branches
  • Prepare and post GAAP adjustments
  • Review and assess existing processes and documentation
  • Produce and coordinate JEG financial reporting

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • Strong knowledge of HGB, US-GAAP and IFRS.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), along with experience in Power BI. Experience with PeopleSoft is an advantage.
