The Commodity Trade Finance Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate and commodity-focused clients across Europe and the MENA region. The role focuses on client relationship management, structured trade finance solutions, risk assessment, and business development in international trade finance markets.

Tasks

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of sophisticated corporate clients, acting as the local point of contact and supporting global relationships
  • Acquire and develop corporate customers, including commodity-focused clients, in Europe and MENA, identifying financing opportunities in line with departmental targets
  • Drive portfolio growth, cross-sell banking products, and contribute to departmental asset size and profitability in line with budget targets
  • Analyze creditworthiness, support credit package preparation, and structure credit limits in line with risk appetite, pricing, and policies
  • Engage effectively with clients on corporate and trade finance transactions, including Commodity Trade Finance (CTF), demonstrating strong risk awareness
  • Monitor customers’ financial standing, identify early warning signals, and take necessary actions in accordance with internal policies
  • Initiate risk assessments and continuous monitoring to ensure transactional acceptability and quality
  • Maintain active client dialogue through regular meetings and represent the bank at industry events and business initiatives
  • Stay up to date on market developments, sectoral risks, regulatory updates, and commodity price movements.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • University degree or equivalent education level
  • Minimum 5 years (preferably 10 years for senior positions) of work experience in Corporate Banking (Large Corporate / Mid-Cap)
  • Proven experience in managing and growing a corporate client portfolio
  • Experience with structured trade finance or commodity finance is considered an advantage
  • Strong analytical and risk management skills, including financial analysis and credit structuring
  • Experience in preparing and presenting credit proposals to internal committees
  • Good understanding of financial and economic trends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Results-oriented with self-motivation and the ability to motivate others
  • Willingness to take responsibility and initiative
  • Active planning and coordination of customer relationships, including client meetings
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English; additional languages (especially German, Russian, Turkish, or French) are a plus
  • 7+ years of banking experience
  • 7+ years of financial services experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in trade finance

Minimum gross salary in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement if the minimum requirements are met: EUR 3,612.55/month, with a willingness to pay above this amount depending on professional experience and training.
