Tasks

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee delegated portfolio management mandates for a fixed-term assignment of 18 months. In this role, you will strengthen the governance of the fund management company and ensure that delegated investment decisions are made in accordance with legal, contractual, and internal requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of delegated portfolio managers, including the conduct of initial and ongoing due diligence reviews.
• Monitoring compliance with investment policy, investment restrictions, the fund contract, the prospectus, and internal guidelines.
• Assessment of investment limit violations and other control findings, as well as management of escalations and corrective actions.
• Oversight of fund initiatives, changes to mandates, new investment strategies, and financial instruments.
• Preparing management and governance reports tailored to specific audiences, and collaborating with Portfolio Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

• A college degree or equivalent qualification in finance, business, law, or a related field.
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in asset management, at a fund management company, or in an oversight, risk, or compliance role.
• In-depth knowledge of collective investment schemes and relevant financial instruments.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills, as well as experience in handling audit findings, escalations, and interactions with senior stakeholders.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
