For our legal entity Vontobel Swiss Financial Advisers (Vontobel SFA), a US licensed Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), we are looking for a Senior Business Risk Manager who will help support the team by managing the risks, whilst facilitating its growth.

Tasks

  • Be heavily involved in control documentation, execution, and remediation (control framework), including provision of education
  • Control execution will focus primarily (but not exclusively) on topics such as best execution, suitability, broker due diligence, valuations, and front running
  • Manage mini-projects, process improvements, audit preparation and execution, in an ever-changing environment
  • Participate in our governance, preparing and syndicating material, documenting our discussions and tracking completion of action items
  • Responsible for the trade execution processes and related governance, and act as subject matter expert to SFA on trade execution matters
  • Automate controls, where opportunities are identified by you and your team, using your abilities to work with Excel scripts/PowerShell/macros, robotics process automation (RPA) or Python.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • Process/product knowledge: you are familiar with banking processes and products; you have worked in a trade execution function or in another operational role
  • Experience with automation, process improvement and coding or macro knowledge; in particular with Excel (Macros/PowerShell) and/or Python
  • Proficient in English, and outstanding communication/stakeholder management skills. German speaking skills are also an asset.
  • Highly organized, possessing exceptional time management abilities and project management skills
  • Unafraid to delve into meticulous detail, to document, execute, evidence, and communicate findings in a constructive and friendly manner with outstanding stakeholder management skills;
  • Highly motivated and fascinated to systematically learn about new SFA processes in detail, identify risks, assess magnitude, and document/communicate own learnings to others.
