We’re recruiting a Business Development Manager to join one of Europe’s largest institutional asset managers and become part of a highly successful Frankfurt-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to build a career in institutional asset management within a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and international environment.
You’ll work closely with experienced business development professionals, gaining exposure to some of Germany’s leading institutional investors while developing your commercial, relationship management, and investment expertise. Offering meaningful responsibility from day one, this role provides excellent scope for professional growth and the opportunity to contribute directly to the continued expansion of the firm’s institutional business across Germany and Europe.
Tasks
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across the German institutional market
- Representing the firm at client meetings, conferences, and industry events
- Conducting market and competitor analysis, while monitoring developments affecting institutional investors
- Preparing and delivering high-quality client presentations and investment solutions
- Coordinating new business opportunities and tender processes with internal stakeholders
- Maintaining oversight of the pipeline of prospective clients and business development initiatives
- Actively contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s institutional business in Germany and across Europe
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- Experience in institutional distribution, consultant relations, client relationship management, or a related role within asset management or financial services
- Demonstrating an understanding of institutional investors, the German institutional investment market, and the regulatory landscape affecting pension funds, insurers, and other asset owners
- Ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly and effectively through strong analytical, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Building effective relationships with institutional investors and senior stakeholders through a professional, confident, and client-focused approach
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities through a proactive, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented mindset
- Holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related discipline, with CFA or CAIA charterholder status or progress toward a professional investment qualification
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
- Collaborating effectively within high-performing teams, leveraging strong interpersonal and networking skills in an international environment
