We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transaction Officer - Cash to join our Banking Operations team. The primary responsibility of this role is to process incoming and outgoing payment transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring seamless operations across various payment systems and customer categories.
Tasks
- Process, invoice, and validate payment orders across systems such as TARGET, SEPA (SCT/SDD), and cash correspondent networks
- Handle transactions for all customer categories, including PWM, PAS FRONT, FPS, and PAM PAI, in all currencies and for all BPAG entities (7 business units)
- Manage incoming SWIFT MX and SEPA messages (Pacs.00x & Camt.0xx)
- Reconcile suspense items and monitor investigation files
- Ensure accurate accounting of incoming funds via SWIFT, SEPA, TARGET, and BACS for our customers
- Analyze and process reversals, check cashing, and issue requests
- Perform first-level processing of Fircosoft hits
- Manage standing orders, including creation, validation, and closure
- Process SWIFT FreeText and eT Broadcast messages
- Enter, correct, verify, and authorize SWIFT messages in the AMH system
- Ensure that risk management is controlled at every stage of operations processing, including during the updating of procedures
- Analyze existing processes to identify opportunities for productivity gains and apply Agile and Lean working methods
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
Required experience:
- Minimum Bac +2 or equivalent in Economics
- At least 3 years of experience in a "Custodian Bank / Custody" department
- Proficiency in back-office transfer processes
- Familiarity with IT tools such as Avaloq, AMH, Swift, Fircosoft, Jira, Lotus (suspense tracking), Idoc, AvaloqOrderList Loader, and Luxis
- Strong knowledge of MS Office software
- Understanding of SEPA, TARGET, and BACS payment systems
- Strong interest in and ease with using new technologies and IT tools (Artificial Intelligence, VBA, Python, Power Query, etc.)
