. Overview of the Equity Capital Markets Team
Moelis & Company is seeking a full-time Analyst to join its EMEA Equity Capital Markets (“ECM”) team in London. The successful candidate will work closely with senior bankers and clients on a range of equity capital markets transactions across industries, including IPOs, private placements, and follow-on fundraises.
This role offers significant responsibility from an early stage and requires intellectual curiosity, strong analytical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills. The Analyst will support origination and execution activities, including financial analysis and modeling, preparation of client presentations, market updates, sector analysis, transaction materials, and deal documentation.
The successful candidate will bring prior full-time professional experience and will gain direct exposure to senior bankers within the ECM team and across the firm, with the opportunity to deepen their product expertise and further develop their career in ECM investment banking.
This is a full-time Analyst position based in the London office.
Tasks
- Provide in-depth quantitative and qualitative financial analysis relating to business, industry, and economic trends.
- Prepare marketing materials and presentation slides for pitch books and client materials.
- Support senior bankers in origination activities, including screening IPO targets, monitoring equity market news, identifying potential trends and opportunities, and preparing pitch materials.
- Produce market updates, performance analyses, sector deep dives, and strategic materials for corporations and investors.
- Track news and developments relating to the team’s core IPO, private placement, and follow-on targets.
- Support IPO and broader fundraising execution processes, including data gathering, analysis, materials preparation, transaction calls, deal documentation, and client presentations.
- Gather and analyze market share data, shareholder information, and investor profiles.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across product and industry teams to support client coverage and transaction execution.
- Interact with senior bankers and clients in a professional and effective manner.

Qualifications/Requirements

Excellent analytical, presentation, and numerical skills, with confidence in working with financial data.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality written and analytical work.
Proven team player who can effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clients.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Good understanding of financial reporting.
Demonstrable interest in financial markets and equity capital markets.
Currently employed in a full-time role, ideally within investment banking, equity capital markets, capital markets, corporate finance, accounting, consulting, or another relevant financial services environment.
Already graduated with a strong academic record; a minimum 2:1 degree classification, or equivalent, is preferred.
Minimum A-Level results of AAB, or equivalent.
Any degree discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in an additional European language would be desirable but is not required.
- Prior full-time professional experience in investment banking, equity capital markets, capital markets, corporate finance, accounting, consulting, or a related field would be advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across different teams, levels of seniority, and working styles.
- Ability to balance analytical rigor with commercial judgment.
