Tasks

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is looking for an Analyst within the Global Banking – Corporate Client Coverage team based in Frankfurt.

As an Analyst, your role will be to support Santander’s dynamic Global Banking team by serving as a consistent point of contact for our corporate clients as well as for our internal stakeholders worldwide.

You will work in Santander Frankfurt’s dynamic Corporate Client Coverage team, where your day-to-day tasks will vary based on our clients’ needs. You can expect to collaborate across product, geographic, and support teams to develop strategies for clients, build detailed financial models, conduct analyses, prepare presentations and credit packages, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing client relationships as one of the key points of contact within Santander’s Global Banking team.
  • Actively reaching out to and providing comprehensive service support to clients, including resolving complex client inquiries across all of Santander’s products and geographies.
  • Participating in the preparation and execution of transactions for the team in close cooperation with product teams (e.g., DCM, Syndicated Loans, and Global Transaction Banking).
  • Working with various senior bankers and product specialists to create new business opportunities.
  • Conducting financial and strategic business analysis of sectors, competitors, and customers.
  • Drafting and delivering client presentations and supporting other client- or product-related initiatives.
  • Preparing client business plans and monitoring performance in terms of client profitability and absolute revenue targets (involved in all internal and external aspects of transactions, such as client pitches, credit documentation, and risk and business committees).
  • Supporting efforts to meet all required compliance and KYC standards.

Professional Experience

  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably gained in activities related to corporate banking and/or investment banking.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably a Master’s degree); strong academic record (preferably in business administration, finance, accounting, and/or economics).

Languages

  • Highly proficient in spoken and written German and fluent in English. Spanish is optional.

Hard Skills

  • Basic financial modeling skills and an understanding of company valuations
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint

Soft Skills

  • Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally
