As an Accounting Manager, you will shape the financial processes of our bank – from ECB readiness and data governance to annual financial statements. Bring your expertise in IFRS and HGB and thrive in an international environment with flexible working models.

Tasks

  • Support ECB Readiness: Contribute to projects preparing for ECB supervision by improving data quality and strengthening traceability and governance in line with BCBS 239 and other ECB requirements.
  • Enhance Data Governance & Automation: Lead initiatives to improve data governance and automate processes. Document data lineage, manage metadata, implement controls, and optimise reporting.
  • Manage Audits: Coordinate internal and external audits, address findings, and report actions to Finance Management.
  • Year-End & Reporting: Take responsibility for the annual financial statements of Lloyds Bank GmbH and LB plc Berlin Branch. Support monthly closings, comment on key movements, and approve postings.
  • Accounting Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert for IFRS, HGB/RechKredV, and IDW standards. Provide support for projects with accounting relevance.

Profile / Your qualification / Your personality

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Audit, Controlling or similar; CA ACA, CIMA is a plus.
  • Several years of experience in Financial Reporting/Statutory Accounting or at a Big 4 audit firm.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and HGB for financial institutions.
  • Proven experience in preparing or auditing HGB financial statements and management reports.
  • Solid understanding of ECB supervisory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239) and data governance principles.
  • Hands-on experience in process automation and data governance (quality, lineage, metadata).
  • Fluent German (written and spoken) and good English skills.
