As an Accounting Manager, you will shape the financial processes of our bank – from ECB readiness and data governance to annual financial statements. Bring your expertise in IFRS and HGB and thrive in an international environment with flexible working models.
Tasks
- Support ECB Readiness: Contribute to projects preparing for ECB supervision by improving data quality and strengthening traceability and governance in line with BCBS 239 and other ECB requirements.
- Enhance Data Governance & Automation: Lead initiatives to improve data governance and automate processes. Document data lineage, manage metadata, implement controls, and optimise reporting.
- Manage Audits: Coordinate internal and external audits, address findings, and report actions to Finance Management.
- Year-End & Reporting: Take responsibility for the annual financial statements of Lloyds Bank GmbH and LB plc Berlin Branch. Support monthly closings, comment on key movements, and approve postings.
- Accounting Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert for IFRS, HGB/RechKredV, and IDW standards. Provide support for projects with accounting relevance.
Profile / Your qualification / Your personality
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Audit, Controlling or similar; CA ACA, CIMA is a plus.
- Several years of experience in Financial Reporting/Statutory Accounting or at a Big 4 audit firm.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and HGB for financial institutions.
- Proven experience in preparing or auditing HGB financial statements and management reports.
- Solid understanding of ECB supervisory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239) and data governance principles.
- Hands-on experience in process automation and data governance (quality, lineage, metadata).
- Fluent German (written and spoken) and good English skills.
