We are looking for someone to fill the following position effective January 2026: Sales Manager (m/w/d) Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), Global Payments Solutions (GPS) Germany.
Global Payments Solutions (GPS) is one of HSBC's global product lines. Supporting Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) our business is made up in more than 55 countries and is uniquely positioned to help clients make and receive payments, across borders and regulations, in multiple currencies. Our expertise in this area has been recognized by the industry’s most prominent publications as the best global Cash Manager for corporate and financial institutions in consecutive years.
We are seeking an ambitious individual to join our GPS Sales Team. The successful candidate will cover its own client portfolio of corporates operating predominantly out of the Munich and Nuremberg region. The candidate’s responsibility will be the expansion of existing revenue streams as well as developing new ones by identifying and selling innovative Cash Management solutions to existing and new Germany based CIB clients.
The role will be based in our offices in Munich or Nuremberg, Germany and will also allow flexible work arrangements.
Aufgaben
- Support CIB Coverage and the wider GPS Sales teams to identify and develop business opportunities, jointly formulate client engagement strategy to deepen the HSBC cash management wallet globally
- Proactively collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to build and develop a deal pipeline that is coordinated with CIB and prioritized according to opportunity and value to HSBC Group
- Deepen customer relationships through championing business collaboration with key stakeholders including Global Trade Solutions (GTS) and Markets & Security Services (MSS)
- Work closely with the GPS Client Connectivity and Client Service teams to ensure smooth transition of client mandates into realized revenues
- Maintain comprehensive sales records in a timely manner within Group CRM platforms to allow tracking of sales performance and sales quality
- Contribute to constructive cross-country, cross-regional and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management
- Ensure effective sales suitability management, and manage money laundering, counter terrorist financing, fraud, and reputational risks as well as ensure that all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring and address any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department
Profil / Ihre Qualifikation / Ihre Persönlichkeit:
- Ideally completed banking apprenticeship and ideally a successful degree in economic
- Professional experience in corporate client banking, corporate treasury, cash management and/or corporate customer service, especially in an international context, is of added value
- Confident appearance in front of customers and management as well as a strong customer orientation and a strong communication personality with highly developed social and negotiation skills
- An independent and result-oriented way of working as well as a very good time and project management, resilience, mediation skills and enthusiasm,
- Good PC skills (MS Office)
- Willingness to embrace technical and innovation developments
- Fluency in written and verbal professional English and German is mandatory
