Aufgaben

  • Be responsible for the research of Japanese companies – primarily within a pre-defined area of the market, and to communicate the results of the research effectively to the portfolio managers both verbally and in writing
  • Follow up on ad-hoc research requests by portfolio managers
  • Build financial models and write investment case reports for stocks proposed or owned
  • Contribute to the idea generation process of the team, utilising sector or general market knowledge
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the portfolio managers as required
  • Support marketing efforts as required
  • Collaborate with other investment teams within Janus Henderson and provide investment idea for teams, which can invest in Japan.
  • Maintain the highest levels of integrity in all aspects of the role
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned

Profil / Ihre Qualifikation / Ihre Persönlichkeit:

Must have skills

  • Experience as a Japan Equities Analyst at a reputable investment firm or sellside, covering multiple sectors
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and valuation skills
  • Independent thinker with solid investment judgment
  • Fluent in Japanese and English; excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in Excel, financial modelling, and Bloomberg
  • Holds a relevant degree from a reputable university
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise tasks and show initiative

Nice to have skills

  • Quantitative skill
  • Portfolio risk analysis skill
  • Knowledge of ESG
