Join us as an Internal Audit VP at Barclays where you will play a pivotal role in leading audits within the UK Private Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM) business division. You will work collaboratively with others in BIA to develop strong independent Auditee relationships and conduct audit activity to provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls.  You will also ensure that audits/assignments on a day-to-day basis are completed to a high standard in line with audit methodology and you will support delivery of the PBWM Audit Plan

Aufgaben

  • Audit development and delivery support, including financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems and risk management.
  • Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments.
  • Assessment of internal control effectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate risk aligned to regulatory requirements.
  • Communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the Audit Owner, senior managers and directors.
  • Identification of regulatory news and industry trends/developments to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice.

Profil / Ihre Qualifikation / Ihre Persönlichkeit:

  • Extensive experience in risk-based auditing within in Private Banking and Wealth Management
  • Relevant professional qualifications in investments or other audit related qualifications (e.g. ACA, CFA)
  • Understanding in the Data Analytics (awareness of opportunity to use and tools available) and Generative AI. 
  • Proven track record of strong stakeholder engagement skills, and cross functional collaboration.

Other key skills that will help you in this role include:

  • Practical understanding of relevant regulatory environment
  • Experience of managing audits/driving initiatives in a relevant field
  • Knowledge about new and emerging financial products and services
