Global Fund Research (GFR) is part of the Advisory Solutions unit of the DB Private Bank clients and is responsible for idea generation, due diligence, approval, execution, and monitoring of fund investments. GFR takes a proactive approach in selecting global fund investment opportunities. Its scope covers both traditional and alternative asset classes, including Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, and Exchange-Traded Funds.
This position is part of the GFR Private Markets team, which focuses on fund investments in Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, and Infrastructure opportunities.
Aufgaben
- Lead the investment due diligence process by sourcing, evaluating, and executing potential fund investments across all Private Markets asset classes.
- Prepare investment concept papers, memoranda, financial models, and presentation materials. Perform rigorous qualitative and quantitative due diligence for Investment Committee review.
- Monitor the performance of existing Private Markets funds on the Private Bank platform and conduct ongoing reviews (including regular calls and meetings with fund managers).
- Support the Front Office and Private Bankers with product updates and training on Private Markets. Coordinate with internal bank functions to onboard new product offerings for the PB platform.
- Participate in meetings with existing and prospective fund managers.
Profil / Ihre Qualifikation / Ihre Persönlichkeit:
- Proven experience and strong interest in Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure, and Real Assets. 8-10+ years of experience preferred. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, including solid knowledge of financial modeling, company valuation, and market/industry research.
- Interest in markets, current investment trends and understanding of global macroeconomic topics.
- High level of initiative and strategic thinking. Outstanding communication skills and ability to build trusted, long-term relationships. Ability to develop networks between investment managers and DB stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Native-level proficiency in German and English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
- MBA, CFA, or a master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.
