BARINGS has further ambitious plans for the expansion of the German wealth management market, including a focus on family offices and, to this end, is seeking to recruit a Senior Director to further develop and drive the business activities across BARINGS' public & private fixed income and real asset solutions.
Aufgaben
- Further development of the German wealth market for BARINGS, across our liquid and illiquid asset classes focusing on developing international private banks and family offices. The person will take ownership for their client segment, predominantly the tier one and tier two accounts and prospects. This will include expanding and deepening relationships with existing clients as well as developing new business opportunities.
- The individual will work as part of the German sales team within the Global Client Group.
- They will support the firm in its effort to raise assets from new and existing clients, as well as managing the relationship with those clients in all aspects. Further, this individual will also work with private banks, family offices, international organisations, and digital distributors, both on liquid strategies as well as our alternatives into wealth effort, which is a key goal in the business development strategy.
- The role will promote the company as a strong investment brand through dedicated marketing initiatives in the region.
- Will own annual sales targets within assigned segments and accounts.
- Executing against a strategic plan for the German wealth business to achieve sales targets and expand the client base in addition to actively contribute to the wider European business plan.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Profil / Ihre Qualifikation / Ihre Persönlichkeit:
- Core Knowledge
Key knowledge of the German wealth market, including single- and multi-family offices.
- A thorough understanding of large wealth management organisations and the product decision making processes.
- Good knowledge of key competition and the competitive environment in Germany.
- Good knowledge of alternatives and required product structures for distribution into the wealth channel.
- A good working knowledge of the legal and regulatory provisions associated with the role.
Core Skills
- Proven sales experience, meeting, or exceeding sales targets within assigned client franchises.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Excellent internal and external communications skills.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and improve personal relationships with a diverse range of people/personalities.
- Languages –German and English are essential.

- Results-oriented and focused on accomplishments rather than activity.
- The ability to establish new client relationships as well as the relationship management skills to work productively with existing clients.
- Act as a credible representative of BARINGS at the highest levels of client interaction as well as be able to articulate complex investment processes to a diverse client audience.
